The Make More Comics Grant

Since 2021, Make More Comics has been involved in the promotion of new publications from aspiring and professional cartoonists. We have received submissions from cartoonists at every point in their careers, from first-time publications to Eisner nominees. We want to help the best cartoonists find their voice and publish their work where they may not have the means to accomplish this through the traditional system. Moreover, we want to support emergent and vital voices from every community.

Each year, we give a single grant of $1,000 (USD) to a cartoonist. Proposals will are judged by a panel of cartoonists, editors, critics, and retailers. We hope to expand our grantmaking in the coming years to support more cartoonists.

    • No. Any AI usage, even suspected AI use, will result in immediate disqualification.
